This week’s episode was all about strong women. It was a showcase of power on both the side of the heroes and the side of the villain. It’s been a while since Mimosa, Noelle, and Nero have seen any action and this more than made up for it. These ladies shine as the powerful and capable magic knights that they are. Let’s not forget the ruler of the Heart Kingdom. Lolopechka was majestic in her full regalia and stayed steadfast in the face of the one who cursed her.

Now yes, they have the water spirit Undine to boost their magic but it takes incredible strength to go toe to toe with a devil possessed Vanica. This is the first fight against a Dark Triad we’ve seen where our heroes were prepared and could match everything being thrown at them. Noelle’s transformation was a pleasant surprise and a testament to how far her control has come. Their friendship and trust in each other is clearly reflected in their teamwork to defeat their foe.

There are only five episodes left so we are sure to see everything coming together soon. We know the goal of the Dark Triad but there are plenty of lingering questions. Will we see Zora and Magna? What is Grey’s magic? Will we find out where Asta came from or what his devil’s goal is? How are the survivors of the Golden Dawn?

My burning question this week is who is the mysterious Black Bull that can move through shadows? I’ve been methodically going through all the unaccounted members this arc and no one matches up. It’s either an entirely new character or Langris Vaude decided to join the Black Bulls. All characters on this show have gone through a transformation. Langris joining the Black Bulls and humbly using his magic for undercover work would be quite the change from the arrogant brat we first met. Though if this show has taught us anything it’s that everyone is capable of pushing past their limits and growing to new heights.

Until next week!
