A break from the action this week. Honestly it was a nice break from the raging adrenaline rush of the past few weeks. Finally a few answers to our most burning questions. Apparently no one knew what was going on outside of the Clover Kingdom and that’s why our heroes were left to fend for themselves. I can accept this as a reason even if it’s a little flimsy. Now though everyone is up to speed and things are about to pick up again.

To recap, we know where the Magic Knight Squad Captains and the Wizard King are. We have confirmation that Grey’s magic could be something completely different than assumed but still more to be learned about that at some point. She also didn’t try to hid after she spoke which speaks volumes about her confidence. We have eyes on Yuno which is very important. He seems to be a new man. It was really nice to see his passion and emotion continue to shine through after all that has happened to him.

Now in terms of where do they go from here, there is a bit of convenience baked into this episode. How else would you explain our new mysterious character, Nacht? Just shows up out of the blue with all the answers to the exact problem they have because he’d been on a spy mission. Also he just so happens to also be devil-possessed but no one knew about him? No one except for Jack but apparently he didn’t have devil powers then? So many threads left dangling there. Also did anyone else think that Finral was the Vice Captain this entire time? I think that was the most shocking revelation of them all. Of course maybe I wasn’t paying attention for 167 episodes and just assumed as much. I think it’s a valid mistake!

Further trending with the convenience factor, they now have a buffer of a week to save Yami and Vangeance. Seems like an impossible feat. How will they boost their power to the level of the Dark Triad in just a few days? Really in just one episode. If the internet rumors are true they need to train, infiltrate, defeat and wrap up in a matter of two episodes. Considering it would be an extremely huge cliffhanger if all they get to is the train and infiltrate part of the plan, I’m banking on a big display of power from both Asta and Yuno to bring this to a close. There is plenty of hidden power hinted at to carry it out. I’ll be sitting on the edge of my seat for the next two weeks so join me for the fireworks.

Until next time!
